Do not alter the signals or marking of trails – The Outdoor Women

Do not alter the signs or markings on the trails. This means not erase paint marks (or doing other nonsense that can be confused with existing ones) or disassemble the milestones (artificially accumulated piles of stones) that are on the way, as they play a primary role in signaling.

The roads are for something, and make them known brands. If we alter the signals, the result will be that others who follow (or try to follow) in the future the same way, be confused, wandering in the wrong places, and therefore more degraded the environment to go through places not previously trampled or altered by human presence.
