The Adirondack Council

Adirondack CouncilIn the next century, this Park could be preserved forever. It could remain a magnificent natural sanctuary within a day’s drive of 70 million people-and stand forever as proof that human beings can coexist in harmony with their natural environment.

Founded in 1975, the Adirondack Council is the largest environmental group in New York State working full-time to preserve the Adirondack Park. Our 18,000 committed members fight for judicious land use and conservation of the Park’s natural resources, and for public policies to protect its assets.
